Multi-beam imaging is a technique which creates several scan lines of images in one TX. Multi-beam is made possible through digital beam-forming, and cannot be done with existing analog beam-forming. Multi-beam imaging involves obtaining two or more RX scan lines with one TX ; the number of scan lines that can be obtained simultaneously is divided into dual-beam, triple-beam and quadruple-beam.
